dj asked:
It gets better for a little while then I get headaches and earaches and more meds.

It sounds like the infection’s never fully cleared. You probably need a longer dose of antibiotics.

Drink plenty of clean, fresh water. Look at your environment. Is it detrimental to your health?

could be a spinal fluid leakage.

Yes! OMG! You sound like me three years ago! I kept getting horrible painful sinus infections over and over and over. I finally went in for a physical and my doctor did blood work on me and found out I was hypothyroid. After being put on medication for my low thyroid, my sinus infections went away and never came back. Now its rare if I ever get sick, not even the sniffles. Go have your thyroid checked.

Sinus infections typically require a longer course of antibiotic therapy than usual due to the nature of their location…usually three weeks. It could also be possible that your doctor is prescribing the incorrect antibiotic. Have swabs been sent to a laboratory for proper testing? If not, INSIST on it.
Additionally, the inflammation in your sinuses needs to cleared up in order to allow your sinuses to drain properly and remain infection free. There are steroidal anti-inflamatory sprays that work very well. Flownase and Nasonex are two that come to mind. If the inflammation isn’t treated properly, fluid will build up again and infection will set in.
Hope you feel better soon.
