Madilyn asked:
I have sinus pressure in my nose, forehead, and ears and they also feel dry. I’ve talked to my doctor twice about it and she insists its allergies. Sometimes the medications she recommended works and sometimes it doesn’t. They’re been this way since May and are driving me crazy! Can I do anything do relieve the pressure and dryness? Is this something I should see an ENT about or not that serious? I don’t want it to turn into a big problem if it is more than allergies.

try a dehumidifier and take hot showers too..I use a nasal steroid to stop swelling and pain/pressure

Staying in a hot shower for at least 20 minutes helps. Also, blow your nose WHILE in the shower.
Yeah, it is messy, but it will help a lot.
The longer you can stay in the hot shower, the better.

Your doctor may be right that you have allergies, but if she doesn’t take you seriously you should seek another opinion from either another allergist or ENT. ENTs know about nasal/sinus allergy – just won’t allergy test you. Been exactly where you’re at. Good Luck!
